The Patterson-Kelley COMPACT is a semi-instantaneous water heater that takes up minimum floor space and is completely packaged for easy installation. The shell is constructed of solid 90/10 copper nickel and carries a 20-year guarantee against leakage.

The COMPACT operates on steam or boiler water. It features Patterson-Kelley’s unique Anticipator â control which regulates the hot water outlet temperature ± 4ºF from the set point. Constantly pumped circulation prevents scale formation on the heat exchanger and continually monitors water temperature, stabilizing temperature control at all draw rates.

Every COMPACT water heater includes a double solenoid temperature-limit system. Should any over-heating of water occur, the system shuts off the heat source and dumps the overheated water in the drain.

No water heater is easier to service than the COMPACT. The shell always remains in place, so no overhead clearance is required for service.

The Patterson-Kelley COMPACT is available with a vented double-wall tube bundle with double tubesheets in addition to conventional single-wall design.
 

P-K STORAGE WATER HEATER

The Patterson-Kelley storage water heater is the patriarch of the Patterson-Kelley water heater family extending back to the early 1900s. Yet today the Patterson-Kelley storage water heater is still popular because it’s so reliable. Many units installed over forty years ago are still in operation.

The Patterson-Kelley storage water heater is designed to supply large quantities of hot water for intermittent or fluctuating demands, while maintaining a reasonable constant consumption of steam or boiler water.

When your pattern of hot-water use indicates periods of no or low consumption, a Patterson-Kelley storage water heater may be the most economical selection. Check with your local Patterson-Kelley representative for his suggestion on both the size and type of water heater to use.

Pre-Krete lines the tank. Stainless steel or 90-10 cupro-nickel units are also available. Storage capacities range from 79 to 5,467 gallons. Recovery capacities from 100 to 10,000 gph. Horizontal and vertical models are available.

 

P-K Thermific® Indirect
Gas-Fired Water Heating System

The Thermific high-efficiency, indirect, gas-fired water heating system is comprised of the Patterson-Kelley Thermific gas-fired boiler piped to a heating bundle inside a storage tank. This closed-loop, indirect design prevents condensation and scaling, minimizing maintenance and maximizing the service life of the system.

The Thermific boiler features a radial-fired burner surrounded by a concentric, vertical heat exchanger with intermeshed finned tubes. This unique design enables the boiler to operate at an A.G.A.-certified efficiency of 85%.

The system is especially effective in hard-water conditions, since any scale present will form on the outside of the heat exchanger in the tank, making it easy to clean.

This fuel-saving system is ideal for schools and colleges, hospitals, hotels, office and apartment buildings, virtually every type of commercial, institutional and industrial facility.

With storage capacity from 275 to 1950 gallons, the system can produce up to 1900 gph of 140 ºF water.

Direct-Fired System

Potable water is heated directly in a Thermific boiler. The boiler is build with solid cast-bronze headers which carry a "lifetime owner guarantee" against rusty water, which can occur with thinly lined steel headers. Patterson-Kelley can supply the boiler for use with an existing storage tank or as a complete package (boiler, pump, tank and all controls), or as separate components.
